Meeting of Artists

A family film, a short film made in summer to capture the joy of being together.

But what a family! Spilliaert, Paul Delvaux, Tytgat and his wife Maria, Luc and Paul Haesaerts. What conversations they must have had, sitting on the grass. A few reclining chairs and a garden, plus a camera to sweep round the circle of friends. They speak (it is a pity the film is silent in view of the liveliness, the laughter, the gestures) and this simple panoramic shot of a few minutes creates a document, bears witness, brings back the bodies and the faces, the memory of a summer afternoon, the emotion of an instant of shirtless abandon.
