This film has faded and taken on a uniform brownish colour. Like Les Belges et la mer, it describes maritime activity, shows port traffic, presents the means of interior communication and the network of canals.

The commentary is very present and gives abundant information. It speaks of the arrival of the (steam) ferry in Ostend, the unloading of goods in the port of Antwerp, a few fishing scenes…
